Give

Giving is very personal. Some people love to give, and others find it difficult for a variety of reasons. As Christians we give because God not only showed us how (John 3:16), but He also expects His people to be generous, unselfish, and Kingdom-oriented. God has always promised to provide for the needs of His people, and He rewards faithfulness and generosity.

Ways to Give

Sunday Services

Offering bags will be passed during our Sunday Service, and there is a locked box at the Info Desk in the Lobby. Offering envelopes are available in the back of the pews, to be used for tax receipt purposes, or for specific designations if desired.

Online Banking

Donating through Online Banking or via Automatic Withdrawal is a good way to give.*

After signing in to your personal Online Banking, select Pay Bills (or similar wording). Select “Add Payee” and search for MRAC or Maple Ridge Alliance Church. Select the name and when you are prompted for an account number, enter your Offering Envelope Number.

If you need an Offering Envelope Number, please email give@mralliance.ca to request one. The offering number is registered only to you and ensures that your donation is credited only to you.

In your Online Banking, you can set the payment up as a one-time, or recurring payment.

If you would like to designate all or part of your offering to a specific ministry, benevolent fund, special fundraising project, missions, etc., please email give@mralliance.ca with the exact details of how much you want designated, to which area(s). Otherwise, all donations go to the General fund by default.

*Unfortunately, if you bank through BMO or ScotiaBank you cannot donate to MRAC through Online Banking at this time. Please use the Online Giving option above by clicking the Give Now button.

e-transfer

If you would like to make a donation by Interac e-Transfer, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to your personal online banking website or app.

  2. Select the e-Transfer function available from your bank.

  3. Enter the email address: give@mralliance.ca
    (no security question required)

  4. Enter amount.

  5. If desired, include a note/comment for how the funds should be designated (general fund, global advance, home missions, benevolent, special project, etc.). If you do not designate a fund, your donation will go into the general fund by default.
-Include your “Offering Envelop Number” if you have one (email give@mralliance.ca to request one).
-Include your email address so that we can email your tax donation receipt to you.
-If this is your first donation, include your mailing address.

  6. Send e-Transfer.

*note: check your personal banking plan to see if you have free e-Transfers, limits, or fees.

Online Giving

You can give Online any time by clicking the Give Now button below. This option allows you to give with a Credit Card, or a Debit Card that has the 3 digit CVV number in the signature strip on the back of the card.

Your MRAC Giving Number (if you have one) is not needed through this method, and you will be receipted at the end of the year as normal.

You can also access Online Giving through the Church Center App, which is available on mobile devices in the App Store / Google Play. Once you download the App, search for Maple Ridge Alliance Church and sign in to get started. The App then stores your payment info and makes it easy to continue giving in the future.

Need help figuring out Online Giving? Click the button below for step-by-step instructions, or watch the helpful Video below the button.

*note: when giving by credit card, a small percentage of the donation goes to fees to financial organizations in order to make this option possible. If you would like to avoid these fees being incurred by the church, please choose one of the other giving options available.

Cheque/Cash at the Church Office

You are welcome to stop by during Office Hours to drop off your donation. Bring it to the Office, or use the metal dropbox located inside the building beside the Office door. We do not have a dropbox that is outside accessible.

More Info

Biblically the traditional "tithe" was 10 percent of a person's income, whether financial or in commodities, that was given to the church (temple) for its upkeep, ministries, and to support the priests who served there at God's direction. Today people's tithes and offerings (going above and beyond the tithe) are used in a wide variety of ways: support of church staff and facilities upkeep, funding a whole variety of ministries, benevolent funds to help those in need, and in support of missionaries who serve locally and around the world.

Every offering that is given at MRAC is recorded and accounted for with transparency so that the church will always be both above reproach and good stewards of the funds that its adherents provide. In addition, a tax-deductible receipt is provided at each year's end for income tax purposes.
