This past Sunday was First Advent. Amidst the good festivities and the hustle and bustle, don't forget to follow Jesus and allow Him to work in you this Advent Season. We are recommending a daily Advent reading guide by John Piper called "The Dawning of Indestructible Joy." Sstart the daily readings on Dec 1.
Our church office is Sad and Happy at the same time. We miss our former office assistant, Joanne, but we welcome our new office assistant, Sandi, on her first day! Such wonderful ladies, Denise included! We are blessed.
On Thanksgiving, Pastor Neil took us through the first part of Colossians 1. This Sunday we will continue on to verses 9-14, looking at Paul's encouraging words!
Feel free to read through all of Colossians and look for the main emphases of the letter.
Prepare for this Sunday's Message. The story continues from last week, now in 2 Kings 23:1-25. Read how King Josiah began to lead Israel back to the Lord!
Also prepare for Communion. Even when we stray from God's way, he calls us to return to Him! In Communion we are reminded to remain in, or return to, Christ.
We received sad news. Jeff House, who became part of our church in the past 2 years, and was known around our area, passed away suddenly on October 12th, 2014.
A Memorial Service in remembrance of Jeff will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 3rd at Maple Ridge Alliance Church, 20399 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge.
Please pass this information on to anyone who may have known Jeff.

As a church we are seeking Renewal & Revival Prepare for this Sunday's Message by reading 2 Kings 17:7-20 (how could God's chosen people fall so low?) and 2 Kings 22:1-20, how Israel realized God wasn't impressed...
